Africa-UniNet is the Austrian-African Research Network established to strengthen long-term cooperation between universities and research institutions in Austria and Africa. The network promotes new institutional and scholarly connections, deepens scientific cooperation, and creates opportunities for innovative collaborative research between African and Austrian researchers.

The Sustainable Gender Equality, Diversity and Social Inclusion Education through Oral Narratives in Mabia Cultures of Ghana (S-GEDSI) project is an Africa-UniNet Research Cooperation Project (Project No. P115_Ghana), https://africa-uninet.at/en/projects/call4/p115-ghana, implemented collaboratively by the Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana, the Department of African Studies, University of Vienna, and the University for Development Studies, Ghana. The project runs from September 2024 to August 2026 and received a grant of EUR 29,910.

The project is funded by OeAD – Austria's Agency for Education and Internationalisation under the Africa-UniNet programme. OeAD supports international cooperation in education, science and research and coordinates the Africa-UniNet programme, which provides a platform for sustained African-Austrian research collaboration.
