Folktales on Gender

These folktales are collected from the Kusaug traditional area of the Upper East Region of Ghana. They are classified under folktales that unravel the gendered roles of male and female characters and societal expectations of these sexes. They initiate discussions on this theme for a peaceful socio-cultural transformation. This project is funded by BanGA Africa, University of Ghana, with support from Carnegie International of New York.
