Folktales on Environment
These folktales are collected from the Kusaug traditional area of the Upper East Region of Ghana. Among the several themes that can be deduced is the theme of indigenous approaches to environmental conservation and the protection of biodiversity. Folktales are used as intangible literary anthropological artefacts for environmental education in rural Ghana. This project is funded by BanGA Africa, University of Ghana, with support from Carnegie International of New York.
